As part of our line up of fun activities for the summer fair, we're launching a scarecrow competition! All entries will be on display on the 21st June 2025 ready to be judged during the day.
So, grab your thinking cap, put your creative skills to the test and craft your best scarecrow to be in with a chance to win a prize!

COMPETITION RULES & GUIDELINES
The competition is open to all hound residents and buisnessES
- Anyone is welcome to enter the scarecrow competition!
- You must complete the official entry form if you wish to take part to be entered. Entries closes at 12pm on Sunday 15th June 2025
- All scarecrows must be build from scratch by the entrant
- Creativity and originality - judges will be looking for scarecrows with that little bit extra, it may be the materials used, the way the scarecrow has been made, how the scarecrow is displayed, or simply a fantastic idea that catches the judges eye
- You are encouraged to use recyclable materials
- Scarecrows will need to be transportable to bring to the summer fair ready for display to be judged during the day.
- Photo of scarecrows will need to be send to us via email on [email protected] with your details
- All scarecrows must be made and displayed in good taste. Any entrants designing their scarecrow to cause deliberate offence will be disqualified.
- Hound Parish Council will not be held responsible for any damage to Third Party property caused by the creations or insecurity of scarecrows. Entrants are held solely responsible for the safety and security of their scarecrow(s).
- Finally.. The most important rule: Make sure to enjoy yourselves!
Participants agree that by entering the competition, at least one photograph will be included on the Parish Council's website.
The judges' decision is final.
No correspondence will be entered into and by entering the competition you are agreeing to the above.
