As part of wider gas main replacement scheme in the local area, From Monday 28 October to Sunday 03 November, SGN will be working on a short section of Hamble Lane in Southampton. These essential works involve replacing approximately 100m of old metal gas pipe with new plastic pipe to ensure we can continue to provide residents with a safe and efficient gas supply.
Due to the location of the gas main in the road, for everyone’s safety we’ll need to have two-way traffic lights in operation around our work location. We understand traffic lights on Hamble Lane will cause delays for local journals, we’re sorry for the inconvenience this essential works will cause. Thank you for your patience and understanding. SGN Southern Replacement Today sees the launch of our annual survey looking at your experience of crime and your connection to your local community. The data from the survey goes into a report which we publish on the website, and use to help prioritise our work.
This year we're working with academic staff at the University of Northumbria who have provided some optional questions at the end of the survey related to health. This is linked to their studies on fear of crime and health outcomes. The survey takes about ten minutes to complete, and if you can spare the time, we really hope that you will make your views known to us - it really is appreciated!
