Hound Parish Council are very proud to announce the opening of the new playground at Butlocks Heath Recreation ground. The playground is scheduled to open on Monday 22nd July in time for the start of the school holidays.
The temporary security fencing will be removed during the day on Monday 22nd July, in the absence of any unforeseen delays we expect this to be completed by lunchtime. The fencing has been left in place longer than originally planned to allow the grass to grow through the safety matting.
We believe that this will be a real asset to the Parish and that anyone visiting Butlocks Heath Recreation ground enjoys the new playground.

Work has gone really well and we are nearing completion of the play area. All play equipment is now installed and we are allowing the grass matts an opportunity to bed in and settle, while waiting for the new benches and signage to arrive.
We plan to open the play area within the next 2 weeks.

Work is well underway on the new play area and as you can see in the pictures, it is starting to take shape with some equipment frames already installed.

We are pleased to advise that the installation work for the play area will begin on Monday 3rd June and should take 6 weeks to complete. The area will be Heras fenced while the works take place.
Hound Parish Council are pleased to announce that Proposal 2 from Lappset has been chosen as the winner. Below are the results of the public vote and at a meeting on Monday 29th April, Councillors voted to approve the public vote.
Hound Parish Council would like to thank everyone who voted and came along on Saturday to talk with each of the shortlisted companies. We appreciate the time and effort that each company has put into their proposals and we will of course be providing further updates on the installation timetable soon.

Hound Parish Council are in the process of replacing the play equipment on the Butlocks Heath Recreation Field behind Hound Parish Hall. We have now shortlisted the designs to the final 3 and are looking for all parishioners to vote for their favourite design. The aim is to have the new play area in place for the school summer holidays and the designs are below for you to look at.
We will also be holding a walk in session where the 3 shortlisted companies and Hound Parish Councillors will be available to answer questions or queries at Hound Parish Hall on Saturday 27th April between 9.30am and 1pm.
