We officially opened the new play areas as the ribbons were cut by the Mayor of Eastleigh, Adam Manning and the Chairman of Hound Parish Council, Simon Guillan. All those who attended enjoyed the occasion with free hot drinks, ice lollies, sweets and bubbles.
We would like to thank everyone who was involved in bringing this exciting new play area to fruition.

We are delighted to announce that the works to replace the play & gym equipment and to install a footpath connecting the Station Road entrance with the footpath from Denzil/Hunt Avenue will begin on Tuesday 5th April.
The works will take between 6-8 weeks (weather dependent) and whilst it is unfortunate that the play equipment will be closed during the Easter holidays, the field and MUGA will remain open and accessible.

At the Council meeting on Monday 11th October 2021, Councillors resolved to approved the public vote and we are delighted to announce that HAGS has been chosen. We are now working with HAGS on some potential amendments to the design which will be available at November's Council meeting.

We are pleased to advise that we have now begun the advertising stage of this project and the tender specification document has been placed on the Governments Contracts Finder & Find a Tender websites. Once we have received all submissions, we will shortlist them down to the final 5 and these will be presented to the public to vote on.

The Parish Council have secured funding to replace the current play and gym equipment on the recreation ground. Ideally, we would like this to be completed within the next 12-18 months and before we complete the design specification of what we believe may be suitable, we want to ask you what you would like.
Below is a picture of the current facilities that are available and the Multi Games Play Area and football fields will stay; however we have previously had suggestions/been asked whether we would consider some different facilities - skate park and tennis court(s). We are happy to consider these and any others suggestions that you may have and would ask that you complete the feedback form below where you can list the play equipment and facilities that you would like to see on the Recreation Ground.
We will be looking to close feedback on Sunday 20th June.
