Functions and Responsibilities
The statutory duties and related functions of the Parish Council are limited. However, it has the discretionary powers to act in a wider area if it chooses.
As well as taking direct action the Parish Council responds to many consultation papers from National organisations and lobbies other bodies and higher tier councils on matters of importance to residents and businesses. Parish Councillors are, in some cases, appointed to represent the Council at local groups’ committee meetings.
Hound Parish Council operates from its premises situated at 29c Station Road, Netley Abbey.
