Local Support Options During COVID-19 Pandemic
As we are currently in a period of uncertainty with the current COVID-19 pandemic, we have been working closely with a number of local groups and organisations to try and ensure that everyone has some support, especially the vulnerable members of our parish.
It is incredibly heartening to see the local Facebook group spring up which is showing the best of our community. Please do have a look if you haven't seen it yet. Netley Abbey Community Coronavirus Support Group It has many examples of people offering to help and pull together to ensure that we get through this difficult period and it should always be remembered that as contagious as this virus is, so is kindness and generosity. If everybody just gives a little bit, we should hopefully all be okay and as a community, come out of this stronger.
However, we have been extremely worried about how we reach the most vulnerable members of our community and ensure that they are safe, have support and all they need and require, especially if in isolation (whether self imposed or due to illness). So, please find below the many fantastic local groups and organisations who have stepped forward to offer assistance:

The local Facebook response group that has been created is fantastic and shows excellent community spirit. We would encourage people to assist each other, whether that be family, friends or neighbours and look after each other through this page. This is to ensure that the above services (which are mainly volunteers) don't get overwhelmed and that we ensure those that don't have access to support for whatever reason, can be looked after also.
As contagious as this virus is, so is kindness and generosity. If everybody just gives a little bit, we’ll all be ok.

Get help with delivery of essential items or become a volunteer. We are working with local volunteer groups, One Community and Hampshire County Council to get help to people who are self-isolating because they are particularly vulnerable to coronavirus (COVID-19).
Volunteers can support with the collection and delivery of food and other essential items like prescription medicines, as well as be someone people can chat with (remotely) to combat loneliness.

Your child's health during the Coronavirus
Children can get ill for lots of reasons. GPs, 111 and hospitals are giving the same, safe care as usual.
Please do not delay getting help if your child needs it.
Some conditions need urgent treatment, like appendicitis or sepsis, and minor children’s health conditions can worsen if not treated.
