On Wednesday 10th April at 03:55 hours, a male was going from car to car trying door handles in Bowcombe. This was later seen by a resident on their CCTV and reported to police.
Please Help Us To Prevent Vehicle Crime. Keep your car locked and remove all valuable property from your car, including any bags and coats. Pull your car handle to CHECK if it's locked. Thieves have and will, break into cars for bags and coats, due to the possibility they may contain valuables. Thieves are also searching unlocked vehicles for ANYTHING including, loose coins, sunglasses and keys. Could you tell the Police, the makes / models / serial nos of your possessions, if they were stolen? Do you photographs of your possessions without serial no's? Log them all at www.immobilise.com May we take this opportunity to remind residents to remain vigilant and to always report anything suspicious. Please help us to spread the message - forward and share, far and wide - anyone can sign up to receive alerts - hear from your local NPT - www.hampshirealerts.co.uk Kind Regards, PCSO 12948 Woodcock. Where was this - Southampton, Portsmouth, Winchester, London - this is an inflammatory post. Netley is regularly targed in certain areas - Hound Road for one. This feels like an over dramatic post and should be toned down. Netley is a very safe place and this sort of post does not help. I assume this is the original post: https://www.hampshirealert.co.uk/da/266468/BOWCOMBE_NETLEY_ABBEY_HEDGE_END_SOUTH_Male_Trying_Car_Doors_Lock_Your_Doors_Remove_Valuables.html. The police say "sending to everyone within one mile of the incident". so I don't think the Parish council should be saying something else - through neglect or otherwise. To do so is inflammatory and out of context. Crying wolf is not healthy for a community.
