volunteers who offer a few hours a week to provide information to local people to enable them to find the support they need to stay living safely and independently. They can help people find information on matters such as help in the home, personal care, transport, benefits and local community groups. Some people need a bit of help to get connected to the services they need and Village Agents can provide this by filling in forms, making phone calls or arranging transport. Village Agents make themselves known by liaising with community groups and agencies and are often in a good position to help identify what services the local rural area needs. Training and support is provided by the Village Agent Coordinator and the Age Concern Hampshire Information service
