We are looking at the possibility of redeveloping both Abbey and Hound Parish Halls in the future and wish to present our early concept design and ideas.
Due to the current social distancing restrictions, we are holding 3 online engagement sessions which we are aiming to be a two way process, by which we want to get our information to you all and we also want to receive your views and comments. These online sessions are on the 2nd, 8th & 17th September, between 7-8pm and are open for all to join. The details are: 2nd -Meeting ID meet.google.com/bai-pnya-rvd 8th - Meeting ID meet.google.com/qro-khxz-vnh 17th - Meeting ID meet.google.com/nmf-etbw-wqs The Parish Council are really happy to support a new local business by allowing them to park on our land. With more people staying in the UK this year and the different food offerings provided by the Giddy Goose to what is already available within the parish, members believed this was worthwhile supporting and gave temporary permission for the Giddy Goose to trade on our land.
The agreement is on a trial basis until the end of September 2020 and we would welcome all feedback from parishioners before any further decisions are debated regarding a more permanent agreement. Failure to do this, will mean you may not be invited to talk during the meeting. You can access the agenda https://www.houndparishcouncil.gov.uk/meetings.html The Parish Council are looking to build on the successes of the 75th anniversary VE Day, Hound in Bloom and Sunflower competitions, by running some additional competitions and campaigns that could offer sponsorship opportunities for local businesses.
As we have been asked many times in the past to inform companies when we’ve had previous sponsorship opportunities, this is a gentle approach to all businesses in the local area to see if they are interested in supporting us with these upcoming competitions. We appreciate that times have been tough for some businesses and want to assure you that we are not looking at large contributions, but feel that this could be a great opportunity for local advertising and being involved in local events. If you wish to discuss this further, please contact the Clerk on [email protected] for further details. |
