As of Thursday 24 September, the NHS Coronavirus (COVID-19) app will be launched across the UK, where venues will ask visitors to check-in when visiting using the NHS Track and trace app to support the government Coronavirus (COVID-19) track and trace scheme.
To support the launch of this new app which will make testing and tracing easier, the Parish Council are displaying NHS QR posters in our venues. These changes will allow people who have downloaded the new NHS COVID-19 app to use their smartphones to check-in. If you are a business in the Parish, we would advise you to do the same. To download the NHS QR code posters, businesses should visit the government's website, which also provides a range of assets to manage test and tracing successfully within venues. By using the posters, NHS Test and Trace will be able to contact customers with public health advice should there be a Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Using QR codes will help us meet the new legal requirement to record the contact details of customers, visitors and staff on our premises rather than relying on form filling alone. Everyone entering our venues are urged to support the NHS by downloading the app. Further information on how to download the new app is available at the NHS website. We hope that residents and businesses in the Parish work together with the launch of the new NHS Coronavirus (COVID-19) app to make sure it is successful at protecting our community through track and tracing. The Parish Council strongly encourages everybody that can, to use this new app, which provides a safe and secure way to accurately track any person who has been in contact with somebody that has tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). It's important that now more than ever, everyone follows the regulations set out by the Government to help protect lives. We have been made aware that there has been some social media conversations regarding the Netley Central Sports & Social Club car park. As we have a responsibility to the community and the residents of the Parish, we can confirm that a letter was sent after the withdrawal of the original planning application.
We respect that a new planning application is currently in progress and the ownership and decisions on future plans for the property belongs to the club and its committee and therefore consider this matter closed unless the club committee wishes to open any future discussions. We would also like to take this opportunity to remind all parishioners and businesses that you can contact the parish council to discuss any and all future opportunities that could benefit the parish and community. The agenda for the Planning Committee meeting on Monday 28th September has been published.

You can access the agenda https://www.houndparishcouncil.gov.uk/meetings.html We are currently at the first stage of looking at the possibility of redeveloping, one or both of Abbey and Hound Parish Halls. We have now held 3 online public engagement sessions to present concept designs and discuss why we are looking at potentially doing this.
This is a very early public discussion with no decisions having been made. No buildings, alterations or redevelopment has been decided or agreed and nothing will happen without the majority support. The 3 public engagement sessions are related to the Parish Halls needing to be refurbished in the near future & reaching out to the residents of the Parish for feedback and comment. If you are interested in more information, to watch any or all of the recordings of the meetings, looking at the plans and hopefully filling in the feedback/comment form, please click here.
