Land adjoining the Hermitage, Grange road

We have been contacted to advise that a planning application will shortly be submitted to Eastleigh Borough Council (EBC)  for twelve dwellings at the above site.

A layout will be submitted as part of the planning application identifying the proposals. The proposed development will comprise eight 3 bedroom and four 2 bedroom dwellings with a mixture of house types, sizes and tenures. There will be ten private houses and two affordable dwellings (20% of the total) as required by EBC.

The layout will include the siting of the dwellings as well as car parking and car ports. The proposal will also include a new vehicular access off Grange Road.

The below leaflet is being delivered to properties in close proximity to the site. This refers local residents to our website (www.jezeph.co.uk) where further information will be available about the proposed development, together with a link to provide any comments about the plans before the application is submitted.

Please do contact mail@jezeph.co.uk with any feedback or questions.

Land on the North Side of Grange Road

Planning application O/16/78014

We have been contacted Nova Planning who are acting on behalf of their clients, Stratland Estates who were granted outline planning permission in January 2018 for the land on the north side of Grange Road. Pursuant to that permission Stratland Estates are now preparing a Reserved Matters application, which will include details of layout, scale of the buildings, external appearance, means of access and landscaping. To inform this Reserved Matters application and satisfy the conditions of the Outline permission, further survey work and site investigation is required.

We have been advised that over the coming weeks their team of consultants will be present on site undertaking further survey work. In some instances this further work will require machinery to be present on site, including excavators. Therefore, they wanted to take this opportunity to explain that these works are entirely in accordance with the requirements of the Outline permission and do not signal the start of any construction works on site. In accordance with best practice this work will be undertaken during usual working hours and in a neighbourly way to minimise any disruption or nuisance to local residents.

In due course they intend to present the draft Reserved Matters proposal to Hound Parish Council for our initial feedback and in addition, they will also host a public exhibition to give the widest possible section of the local community an opportunity to see the proposals and ask questions before a submission is made to Eastleigh Borough Council.

Should any local residents have questions about the works on site over the coming weeks then please do not hesitate to contact Nova Planning who would be happy to explain the scope of works in more detail.

New Defibrillators within Hound

6/3/2019

We are delighted to advise parishioners that 3 new defibrillators have been installed at the following locations, which add to the one outside of the Parish Office on Station Road:

Abbey Hall
Hound Parish Hall
Tankerville Pavilion on the Station Road Recreation Ground

These are available for use inside of a locked cabinet and the South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust have the combination code to all of these cabinets. If you call 999 and it is deemed that you are close enough and use is required, they will give the caller the code. Of course the hope is that these never have to be used.

The defibrillators have been made possible by funding from the following organisations:

Hound Parish Council
32nd Butlocks Scouts
Netley Royals Football Club
Property Matters Southern Ltd, proud sponsors of Netley Central Football Club

Hound Parish Council would like to express their appreciation and thanks to the above for helping to make our parish safer with these additional 3 defibrillators.

Youth Options have been offering a youth outreach service within the BHH (Bursledon, Hamble and Hound) since April 2018 when they took over the contract from the YMCA.

On a Wednesday evening, they spend the majority of their time in the Hound area and were based outdoors during the summer and have utilised Abbey Hall since November. Below are the engagement numbers for the our area:
