As of Thursday 24 September, the NHS Coronavirus (COVID-19) app will be launched across the UK, where venues will ask visitors to check-in when visiting using the NHS Track and trace app to support the government Coronavirus (COVID-19) track and trace scheme.
To support the launch of this new app which will make testing and tracing easier, the Parish Council are displaying NHS QR posters in our venues. These changes will allow people who have downloaded the new NHS COVID-19 app to use their smartphones to check-in. If you are a business in the Parish, we would advise you to do the same. To download the NHS QR code posters, businesses should visit the government's website, which also provides a range of assets to manage test and tracing successfully within venues. By using the posters, NHS Test and Trace will be able to contact customers with public health advice should there be a Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Using QR codes will help us meet the new legal requirement to record the contact details of customers, visitors and staff on our premises rather than relying on form filling alone. Everyone entering our venues are urged to support the NHS by downloading the app. Further information on how to download the new app is available at the NHS website. We hope that residents and businesses in the Parish work together with the launch of the new NHS Coronavirus (COVID-19) app to make sure it is successful at protecting our community through track and tracing. The Parish Council strongly encourages everybody that can, to use this new app, which provides a safe and secure way to accurately track any person who has been in contact with somebody that has tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). It's important that now more than ever, everyone follows the regulations set out by the Government to help protect lives.
