TerraCycle® and Walkers® have partnered to create a free recycling scheme which accepts all crisp packets and we are pleased to advise that we are now a drop off location for these via TerraCycle. This means that you bring any brand of crisp packet and the outer packaging from a mutlipack and place it in the box at the Parish Office.
So that the bags can be recycled properly - and in line with other household recycling - we would ask you to properly empty your packaging before placing them in the box and please do not fold the crisp packets into triangles as these cannot be accepted. We are working on other ideas that will help all of us reduce our carbon footprint and ensure that the Parish becomes as environmentally friendly as possible and we hope to have some further updates soon. If you have any suggestions or would like to get involved, please contact the Parish Office. What is TerraCycle? TerraCycle is Eliminating the Idea of Waste® by recycling the "non-recyclable." Whether it's coffee capsules from your home, pens from a school, or plastic gloves from a manufacturing facility, TerraCycle can collect and recycle almost any form of waste. We partner with individual collectors such as yourself, as well as major consumer product companies, retailers, manufacturers, municipalities, and small businesses across 20 different countries. With your help, we are able to divert millions of pounds of waste from landfills and incinerators each month. If you are interested in finding out more, you can view their website here.
